Ajith’s 'Mankatha' music on May 1

Not ready to disappoint Ajith fans who would not be able to see their Thala on screen in 'Mankatha' as planned on May 1, director Venkat Prabhu and his team are working to release the film's audio on the birthday of the Ultimate Star.

Circles close to Venkat Prabhu told that the movie's music album, composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja, will be released on May 1 at a grand function in Chennai. "The film will hit the screens within the next few weeks of the audio release," they said.

"A couple of crucial scenes and songs have to be shot. Venkat Prabhu is currently working round the clock on ‘Mankatha’. So the film would sure see the light of the day in a couple of months," they said, adding all the nine songs composed for 'Mankatha' by Yuvan would top the charts.

Produced by Dhayanidhi Alagiri's Cloud Nine movies, 'Mankatha', Ajith 50th film, has Trisha, Arjun, Premji, Vaibhav, Lakshmi Rai and Anjali in lead roles.

Is Trisha preganant?

Trisha has been making headlines all the time for the baselesss rumours that keeps spreading of her getting married to a businessman in Hyderabad.

Trisha cleared the air sometime before saying that she will keep the world informed if she is likely to get married. But the media has cooked up another news that are hitting the headlines that Trisha is preganant and hence not accepting any new projects.

Trisha said 'no' to few projects due to call sheet problems which cooked up this pregnant story. Gossip mongers assumed that Trisha is begetting a child without marriage and creating a revolution in film industry and hence she is taking leave being pregnant. Although this news is no believe sense in this gossip, it started spreading wild fire.

Trisha got irked because of this fake media reports during a recent interview and stopped the interview obeying her mother's orders.

Trisha replaced Asin !

In her long standing running feud with Asin, she has won a major battle. She has replaced Asin in Fairever fairness cream ad.

 

Fairever is one of the most successful fairness creams in the country.

Asin and Fairever go back a long time, it was Asin's first major ad she did after becoming a movie star.

A brand manager said: "Asin was face of Fairever for the last so many years. Her relationship with CavinKare the maker was special, and was their longest ever brand ambassador. I don't know what went wrong, and has come as a surprise when Trisha shot the Fairever ad campaign."

Last week Trisha shot the ad with ace photographer Venket Ram in Chennai.

Priyamani and Trisha in ‘Fashion’ remake!

Looks like the remake fever has caught on the Tamil film industry and news about Simbu playing Chulbul Pandey in Dabangg's remake is creating maximum buzz. There is another interesting news in this wake and that is the critically acclaimed Madhur Bandarkar's Hindi film Fashion is to be remade in Tamil.

Nayanthara was initally approaced to play the role essayed by Priyanka Chopra but she is said to have refused and the offer seems to have fallen onto Trisha's lap. The supporting role that was played by Kangana Ranaut is to be reprised by Priya Mani. It is noteworthy that both Priyanka Chopra and Kangana Ranaut won the National Award for their respective roles in Fashion. We will keep you posted with the further developments.

PETA thanks Trisha

The People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), an organisation working for the well-being of four-legged creatures, has thanked Trisha for her care and compassion towards animals.

In a message to the actress, Sachin Bangera, senior co-ordinator, media and communications, PETA said, “We were so happy to learn more about your animal rescue work. You are such a wonderful example for others to follow.”

“Thanks for extending your support to our campaign to encourage the public to adopt Indian community dogs,” he added. Also, as a token of appreciation, the organisation has also sent a t-shirt for Trisha and her dog.

Expressing happiness, Trisha, who has always been advocating for the cause of showing love towards street dogs, says, “Received the sweetest card from my PETA family. I was so touched and felt like every little thing we do to help animals is worth the effort.”

Trisha’s wedding plans

Though Trisha has denied that plans are on to arrange her wedding by this year end, the actress has definite plans about her marriage. She has said in a recent interview that hers would certainly be a love marriage with the consent of her parents.

Furthering on her ideal husband, Trisha has said that he should be a handsome guy who will be able to give her the confidence that she can live with him for the rest of her life. The actress, however, added that she is in no hurry to tie the nuptial knot just because her contemporaries are doing so.

Ajith’s Mankatha:”Last schedule planned in Mumbai”

With little more than two months left for ‘Mankatha’ to hit the screens, the cast and crew of ‘Thala’ Ajith’s 50th film are extremely busy with the project. “The team led by Venkat Prabhu is working overtime to get things right,” sources say.

“The shooting is almost over but for the last schedule which is planned in Mumbai. It will start in the last week of this month. Important scenes on Ajith and Trisha will be shot there,” they maintain.

Confirming this, Trisha, who will join the ‘Mankatha’ team in Mumbai on February 26, says, “I already had a blast working with Ajith, Venkat and others. Eagerly looking forward for the Mumbai schedule.”

Claiming that he film will be a complete entertainer, the actress adds: “It is going to be a rollicking movie and a treat to the audience.” Buzz is that ‘Mankatha’ is about gambling that takes place during cricket matches.

Trisha is in love with a popular businessman!

There were reports that Trisha’s parents are actively looking for a suitable groom to get their only daughter married. This was, of course, promptly denied by the actress who said that her career still remains her top priority.

Ajith’s Mankatha team goes to Mumbai

The way Cloud Nine is going about trying to stick to schedules has helped Venkat Prabhu to complete a major portion of his Ajith golden jubilee film Mankatha.

Now the unit is all set to go to Mumbai and shoot in Dharavi, one of the world's biggest slums.  One of the most difficult things is to shoot a multi-starrer. Not only you have to coordinate artist dates, but also see to it that you shoot on time at the given locations.

A big film like Mankatha which has Ajith, along with an ensemble cast including Arjun, Trisha, Lakshmi Rai, Sneha, Anjali, Vaibhav Reddy and Premji Amaren.

If all goes well, the film may be wrapped up by the first week of March and then the post production has to start.

The film is said to revolve around a gambling gang who indulges in cricket betting during IPL season.

Cloud Nine is almost certain to release Mankatha on May 1, Ajith's birthday and the start of the summer season in Kollywood.

It is the best time to release a biggie and there is unlikely to be any competition.

Trisha saves a puppy!

Recently while shooting for a film,Trisha found a home for a stray puppy that was just 42 days old from the streets of Bangalore.

It was one of her close friend who spotted this cute puppy on the road which would have been run over by some vehicle and Trisha with the help of a common friend, got the little thing transported to Chennai where she found a home for it.

Says a beaming Trisha: "I know it's impossible to help all the stray animals in the country but I do whatever I can, within my limits. I am seriously planning to organize a home for such abandoned  animals with the help of few of my friends, who are animal lovers".

Adds Trisha with a big smile: "We have named it Amun Ra, (an Egyptian princess) and she is now hail and healthy in my friend Sundar's house".

Ajith ‘Mankatha’ new updates!

Here are the latest happenings from ‘Mankatha’ front. Venkat Prabhu has finished picturising three songs for the film. Ajith Intro Song that was shot in Bangkok, A kuthu song involving Ajith with Premji, Vaibhav and others shot in Chennai and a duet featuring Ajith and Trisha, also shot in Chennai. With this major development ‘Mankatha’ has completed 50 percent of its talkie portions.

And an important action scene was also completed. The highlight of this stunt sequence is that Ajith performed the actions with a Body Mount Camera weighing around 30kg mounted on his body to capture the close actions when he runs, walks and turns.

It’s a known fact that Ajith had lot of surgeries on his body and the actor avoids taking risks while shooting. But when Venkat Prabhu came up with this unique idea, Thala readily agreed. Mankatha‘s Chennai portions will get over by Monday and then the unit will move to Mumbai for the rest of the portions.

The thriller starring Ajith, Arjun, Trisha, Anjali, Lakshmi Rai,Premji, Vaibhav, Makath, Jayaprakash and Subbu Panju is about gambling mafia at work during IPL cricket season.

Trisha share the screen space with Rajini!

The latest buzz about Superstar Rajinikanth’s first animation film, which has now been reportedly renamed as ‘Rana’ (‘Sultan’ and ‘Hara’ were the earlier names), is that, it would have Trisha in an important role.

“The movie would have some scenes in which the real Rajini would appear. Trisha would share the screen space with the Superstar in those scenes, which would be directed by K S Ravikumar,” sources say.

Produced and directed by Soundarya Rajinikanth, the first of its kind movie already has Vijayalakshmi of ‘Chennai 28’ and ‘Anjathey’ fame as heroine. Music is by Oscar-Grammy winner A R Rahman.

Though the film went on floors more than three years ago, it is taking time to hit the screens as it involves a lot of animation and computer graphic works, which are being done using state-of-the-art technology.

Trisha creates problem in CM’s family!

udhayanidhi-stalin-trishaPetty beauty 'Trisha' is facing threats from M Karunanidhi family, who is in deep affair with Udayanidhi Stalin, the grandson of Karunanidhi.

 

Beauty queen Trisha has handcuffed Udhayanidhi Stalin in her love and made the film 'Kuruvi' with her as a heroine which was a dud at the box office. Later she made him to make 'Manmadhan Ambu' (Manmadha Baanam in Telugu) investing Rs.30 crores, which failed miserably in both the versions.

Knowing that Trisha is spoiling the family of Udayanidhi Stalin with her oomph CM Karunanidhi and his son Stalin father of Udayanidhi warned Trish to keep away from him.

The family members felt that Udayanidhi is not concentrating on his films due to Trisha's affair and hence incurring losses.
