Nayantara’s trouble continues..

Nayantara seems to have earned the wrath of AMMA, the apex body of Malayalam actors, for not coming forward to give a stage performance in the association’s cultural programme later today.

According to reports, the actress initially accepted to perform a dance number when she was approached by the office bearers of the all powerful association, but failed to attend rehearsals later.

This has irked the organisers of the show, who are planning to initiate action against Nayantara, reports claimed further. It seems that even Meera Jasmine too is not attending the show.

If sources close to Nayantara are to be believed, she would soon make an announcement on marrying Prabhu Deva and would concentrate on her personal life. “She even turned down a Tamil film offer from a big banner recently,” they say.

Nayanthara watched her recent blockbuster!

Nayanthara watched her recent blockbuster, her first Kananda film Super in Hyderabad.

Rockline Venkatesh and her hero superstar Upendra arranged this special show for her at the Prasad preview theatre. The film which is now being dubbed into Telugu had its audio launch in the city the next day.

Why is Nayanthara still called the 'Queen Bee' of Kollywood, in spite of her constant media victimisation and not having a single film in hand?

We guess, it's because she does not have a substitute in Tamil to do the glamour roles with attitude and style.

Recently, a Mumbai based company tried to get in touch with the actress as they could not think of any other actress, when they decided to remake their Fashion in Tamil.

Said a source close to the production house: "There is no other actress right now who has the right attitude and acting capabilities to carry that role made memorable by Priyanka Chopra in the original".

Undoubtedly the lady, still has the star power, which is no less than a hero. Nayanthara has got certain stature and value among cinegoers and audiences look forward to her movies.

Prabhu Deva and Nayanthara decided to tie the wedding knot on July

At last all is well for Prabhu Deva. The director-choreographer had ended up his relationship with his legally wedded wife Ramlath. No matter whatever the price tag may be, Prabhu Deva has agreed to all make settlements as ordered by the Family court in Chennai.

Ramlath on the other hand is withdrawing all the case filed against Prabhu Deva and Nayanthara. The legal statement on Prabhu Deva's divorce will be issued on June and the love birds have decided to tie the wedding knot a month after that.

Sources add that Prabhu Deva and Nayanthara are planning for a grand wedding event. But the place of the wedding is not yet confirmed. Watch out the space for more updates.

Nayanthara Has Become Southern Box Queen

South Indian actress Nayanthara, who started her career with the Malayalam film Manassinakkare in 2003, has come a long way in the South film industry. She is one South actress, who is balancing her work in all four South Indian languages and this has given her a strong foothold in the industry.

However, the year 2009 was not quite good for the 26 year old actress as she had just one successful release in the form of Suriya starrer Aadhavan. It was released in October and was among very few of successful movies of the year.

In 2010, Nayanthara has made her comeback with a bang. All the films starring her in the lead role were commercial success in this year. She had four super hit releases in all the South Indian languages. The list of her successful journey of 2010 includes Bodyguard in Malayalam, Simha in Kannada, Boss Engira Bhaskaran and Simha in Telugu.

Boss Engira Bhaskaran released with extremely positive reviews and turned out to be a blockbuster. On the other hand, Simha turned out to be one of the highest-grossing Telugu movies of 2010.

Above all, Nayanthara received standing ovation from the audience at the International Film Festival of India in Goa for her spectacular performance in the Malayalam movie Electra.

Nayan is obviously excited about this achievement of the year and says that she feels privileged to have acted in some of the most successful movies in the South. She has become the first South Indian heroine in the history to have all hit films in the four southern languages in a single year.

Prabhu Deva keeping mum about Nayanthara

Prabhu Deva’s meeting with the press was a highly anticipated affair and it happened recently in Chennai. Though the director convened the meet for Engeyum Kadhal, a film directed by him, the press were naturally eager to ask questions about Nayanthara.

Brushing them aside, the director only answered queries pertaining to Engeyum Kadhal. He said that most part of the shooting has been completed in France and it will be a romantic flick with the locations adding its touch of romance.

Prabhu, on how he manages to excel in different aspects of cinema such as acting, direction and choreography, said that he never seeks anything but take things as it comes.

Prabhu and Nayan case posted on January 21st, 2011

Prabhu Deva and Nayan did not heed to the court summons for the second consecutive time. The two were served the summons through the Nadigar Sangam after they failed to appear for the first summons.

It was strongly expected that Prabhu and Nayan would make it to the family court yesterday, November 23rd, 2010 to counter the charges made by Ramlath Prabhu Deva. It may be recalled that Ramlath had filed a petition for restitution of conjugal rights and seeking a bar on Prabhu and Nayan from making public appearances together.

Several media persons who thronged the court complex had to return frustrated when the magistrate ordered the case to be posted on January 21st, 2011 and issue a third summon to Prabhu and Nayan as both of them failed to appear.

Ramlath’s advocate also submitted a medical certificate in court stating that his client is unwell and could not attend the hearing.

Protest against Nayantara

Hindu Makkal Katchi Kanna has raised protest against Nayantara for playing the role of 'Sita' in an upcoming Tollywood flick 'Sri Rama Rajyam' in which Nandamuri Balakrishna is playing the lead roles.

Chennai Family Court has also issued fresh summons to Nayantara & Prabhu Deva to appear in court in January 2011 as they failed to appear in court on Tuesday.

HMK objected to the actress playing the role of Sita in the Telugu flick is like insulting our morals, sentiments and the great epic. Describing that Ramayana is based on the principles of 'One man one woman' whereas Nayan has been stealing other woman`s husband in real life is not fit to play the role of Sita.

Prabhu Deva,Ramlath marriage was not registered!

Prabhu Deva and Nayanthara have been issued court summons through Nadigar Sangam to appear before the court on November 23rd, 2010 based on the complaint filed by Prabhu’s wife Ramlath.

At a time when there is a strong anticipation if the two would appear before the court of law, Prabhu shocked everyone by claiming that the marriage between him and Ramlath is not legal as it was not registered. He is discussing with legal experts to proceed with the case filed by Ramlath seeking restitution of conjugal rights based on this claim.

His wife is gearing to counter this claim by collecting all the necessary documents like the ration card and her children’s birth certificates which indicates that Prabhu is her husband

Prabhu Deva and Nayan are summoned by court

There seems to be no end in sight for the troubles of south actor-director-choreographer Prabhu Deva and his girlfriend Nayantara.

A family court today issued fresh notice to the duo on an application by Prabhu Deva’s wife Ramlat seeking an interim injunction restraining her husband and the actress from marrying.

The court earlier this month had issued notice to Prabhu Deva and the actress Nayantara and posted the matter for today. As the two were not present in the court, the judge ordered issue of fresh notice and posted the matter for November 23.

Reportedly it’s a summon to Prabhu and Nayan to be present during the court hearing on the aforementioned date.

The two have been facing strong opposition from Deva’s wife, who is insisting upon the restoration of her conjugal rights with Deva.

Rajini’s advise to Nayanthara?

Whenever Nayantara faces trouble, Rajini never fails to give her advice.

When Nayan broke up with Simbu, the media went to town covering pages about the broken romance. That time, Nayantara was acting with Rajini in ‘Chandramukhi.’ Seeing the saddened girl, Rajini would often console her as well as advice her.

Now that Nayantara is again I trouble for her new romance, Rajini has again offered his advice to her. Nayantara recently shot for an ad at Kelambakkam. Rajini was in hall nearby, giving an interview about ‘Endhiran’ to Sun TV. On hearing of this, Nayantara met him.

He told Nayantara that he had heard of her love for Prabhu Deva through the media, advised her not to hurt Prabhu Deva’s wife Ramalath and finally wished her all the best!

Prabhu expected to reply against Ramlath

prabhu-deva-nayanthara-04-10-10Prabhu Deva is reportedly holding discussions with his lawyers to give a counter to Ramlath’s petition. The lady has recently filed a petition at the family court seeking the court’s intervention to get her husband back in to the matrimonial home.

The court has posted the case to November 23rd. Meanwhile, Prabhu is busy holding discussions with his lawyers and father Sundaram.

Prabhu is expected to reply to all the allegations made by Ramlath in the petition.

Prabhu Deva's wife approaches court

In the midst of rumours that Prabhu Deva and Nayantara are likely to tie the knot sometime in December, Prabhu Deva's wife Latha aka Ramalath approached the Chennai Family Court on Monday pleading it to direct her husband not to leave her. The move came in the wake of Prabhu Deva admitting his affair and forthcoming marriage with Nayantara.

In her petition, Ramalath accused Prabhu Deva of not taking care of domestic responsibilities and not paying money to run the household expenses after he allegedly fell in love with Nayantara. She also stated in the her plea that Nayantara is spreading rumours that she had offered her (Latha) Rs. 3.85 crore and jewels to divorce Prabhu Deva and agree for their marriage.

Admitting that she did pick a fight with Nayantara once over phone, Ramlath warned that she would give Nayantara a sound thrashing if they meet. Notably, Prabhu Deva has not divorced Ramalath, nor is the couple legally separated. They were married on September 8, 1995 and had three sons. One of their sons passed away due to cancer.

Asin got the chance of Nayanthara

in the Malayalam film Bodyguard initially. Since she was busy at that time with two Bollywood films – Gajini and London Dreams – she could not take up the offers. Finally, Siddique roped in Nayanthara and the film went on to become a hit.

When the director decided to remake the film in Tamil, he once again sought Asin’s call sheet and the lady agreed immediately. Asin is currently busy on the sets of Kaavalan, the remake of Bodyguard, which has Vijay playing the male lead.

Asin asks not to compare her with Nayan

The Malayalam hit film Body Guard is being remade in Tamil with the title Kaavalan. Dhilip and Nayanthara did the lead role in this film. Siddique directed this film. In Kaavalan Vijay and Asin are doing the lead roles. Siddique who directed the Malayalam film Body Guard is directing this film also. Vijay, Asin and director Siddique spoke to the media recently.

Vijay while speaking about this film said , “Siddique told me this story two years back itself. This story is different from other films. This is a romantic film. There will also fiery fighting scenes and also rib tickling comedy. There was a big problem tot title this film. We planned to title this film as Kavalkaran. Due to some reason it was not possible to do so.

Then we tried Kaaval Kadhal and finally it was titled Kavalan. I had earlier acted in Siddique’s Friends. I can never forget the comedy scenes in that film. Particularly in the scene where the hammer falls on the head of Vadivelu. I will laugh even now if I happen to see that comedy. I am happy that Asin is acting with me in this film. We both of us paired in Sivakasi and Pokkiri. This is third film with our combo. This film will also be success like the other two films. In between Asin had gone for the shooting of Hindi film. Since I did not want to waste 2 months, I acted in Velayudham.”
