As like many of her contemporaries Namitha has also decided to try her luck in business ventures. The glam-doll has set-up a real estate business in her home state Gujarat. According to sources, she began the new business venture on the Women’s Day this year.
Namitha also has plans to start a similar business venture in Tamil Nadu very soon. The actress, it is said, will be concentrating in her business and her acting projects simultaneously.

Namitha has decided to go in for an image makeover. She will be seen as a yoga teacher in the Kannada film Namitha I Love You, which is being directed by Jayasimha Reddy. It is an action flick and Namitha will not play the usual glam-doll role that she has been donning all along. Sources say that Namitha, as a yoga teacher, will reform her students in the film.
Apart from Namitha I Love You, the lady also another Kannada film in her kitty Bhagavantha, which will be directed by Sai Prakash.

Though we’re sure Namitha’s fears are unfounded, the sexy lady of South Indian cinema is apprehensive that her fans might begin to hate her after watching her playing a vamp in director Suresh Krissna’s upcoming film ‘Illeyngan’.
In the film, Namitha plays a character with negative shades. “Well, it’s an out ‘n’ out vamp character! I’m Bad! Pllllllllls don’t hate me after watching this film, as you know it’s not the real me,” Namitha wrote on twitter about her role.
The bombshell is presently shooting the film in Binni Mills in Sri Perambur. The movie, Krissna’s 50th, stars Vijay, Meera Jasmine, Remya Nambeesan and Khusbhu.
Recently, a section of the media reported that glam doll Namitha has attempted suicide due to depression. When the actress came to know about her suicide story, she burst out in laughter.
“I am here at my Amby Valley house near Mumbai. It’s news to me and I don’t know who spreads such baseless rumours and what they gain out of it. I am off to Chennai tomorrow as shooting for Maanada Mayilada will happen there,” she said. Currently Namitha is busy with Kalaignar’s film Ilaignan and a couple of Telugu films.
Say what the critics may but the loyal fans of Namitha are lining up to watch her movie ‘Black Stallion, which despite a slew of bad movie reviews, is going strong at the box office down south.
Namitha’s magic works again and the producers of ‘Black Stallion’ are galloping their way to the bank. Yes, reports from the South indicate that the trilingual movie (in Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu) has managed to break-even and might even rake in a handsome profit.
The movie has Namitha playing a sexy bar dancer who is constantly being wooed by lusty men. Kalabhavan Mani, who plays the eponymous hero, tries to woo her but only gets stabbed by her. The film’s other hero, Bala, plays a photographer who promises to help Namitha reform her life.
One reason why the movie managed to break even could be that it was made on a shoe-string budget of Rs 2.85 crore in the first place. Secondly, the intensive publicity campaign that focused on Namitha’s glamour and sexiness seems to be paying the dividend.
Critics may have panned the film but the fans are loving it. And at the end of the day that’s what matters for Namitha and the film’s makers.
Namitha has showcased her acting skills in almost all film fraternities in India. She has acted in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Hindi and English movies. But we guess it is the first time she will be acting in a negative role. The actress is set to show her fans her negative side in her forthcoming Tamil movie Ilaignan.
The script for Ilaignan has been written by the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, M Karunanidhi. Namitha will be acting in this movie along with renowned lyricist Pa Vijay who is to play the lead role.
One of the reasons why Namitha accepted this role is because she was very much impressed by the character she is supposed to play in the movie. The glamorous actress claims that the fact that the Chief Minister has written the dialogues for this movie also prompted her to sign the film.
The actress is a little apprehensive about the audiences’ reaction to her negative role. She claims that though her role is negative it would still have the elements that her fans would usually expect from her. She is hopeful of making her fans happy with her role in Ilaignan.

Hit director Sakthi Chidambaram used to be a big supporter of sex bomb Namitha.
But he fell out with her and is now taking revenge by introducing another bombshell Sruthi, formerly known as Hema Malini.
Sruthi in looks and body structure is a spitting image of the Amazonian Namitha. So Sakthi Chidambaram has cast her as the heroine in his new Sathyaraj- Sundar C mass masala Guru Sishyan.
The masala director has made it a point to make Sruthi look more like Namitha in the film especially in the hot and sizzling number shot on the beaches of Bali. Sruthi comes in a swimsuit in the film, and is said to be electrifying.
Today Guru Sishyan is releasing, and if the film is a B & C hit, Sruthi would emerge as the new Namitha of Kollywood!
Sources report that Namitha has not signed up any films in the near future. The actress is keen on reducing her weight and will work her way towards it by taking a break. Namitha currently has a Kannada and Telugu film in which she will be paired opposite Bala Krishna.
She will take a break soon after completing the Tamil film Perazhagi, which is to be directed by Pramod.
Director Thiru rues that his Azhagana Ponnuthan turned out to be a damp squib due to Namitha. Thiru said that Namitha refused to star in the film after several scenes in the film were canned. When he filed a complaint at the Producers’ Council, it was decided that Namitha should complete the film.
However, the actress refused to accord full co-operation. Thiru says that he had to modify the story and the climax due Namitha’s indifferent behavior. He adds that Namitha was responsible for the huge losses that the producer of Azhagana Ponnuthan had incurred. According to Thiru, the climax was not what he had in mind and film was cut short by 20 minutes.
Azhagana Ponnuthan has had enough publicity as it has Namitha in a vital role. This is an indication that the film will not be devoid of the oomph factor that Namitha is so adept at. But the real surprise is that Parthiban is the real hero of this film.
While we have heard that a newbie plays the 16-year-old hero in Azhagana Ponnuthan, there is now a buzz that the older version of this 16-year-old is Parthiban.
Come February 14, the day when that indescribable thing called LOVE is celebrated all over the world, Namitha will step back into the limelight for the music release of her upcoming Kannada film ‘Hoo’.
The siren from the south has been keeping a rather low profile since the release of her last film earlier this year. But on the morning of Valentine’s Day she will be under the arc lights again, along with director-actor V Ravichandran and co-star Meera Jasmine at the audio launch of ‘Hoo’, which marks Namitha’s return to Kannada cinema.

We learn that the director now wants to bring to the fore a different side of Namitha in ‘Hoo’.
